Praying for the Spiritual health of the church

Paul's Regard for the people.

The concern Paul had for believers in Thessalonica is clearly seen in his:

• Persistent prayer for them night and day v10.
• Passionate prayer for them "Exceeding abundantly" seeEph.3:20
• Personal relationship with them "to see your face"
• Paul's Request for the people.

 

Paul wanted to see the following evidence of spiritual health.

1. Strong heartbeat of FAITH v10b.

• The Trouble Their faith had missing "beats".
• The Treatment The ministry of the Word.

2. Abounding energy of LOVE v12.

• Love for the family of God see 4:9
• Love for the Family of man see 4:12

3. Healthy glow of HOLINESS v13.

• The Standard ...blameless
• The Stimulus The second coming
